PLAYCARE PIP®

  • PlayCare PIP® installation is subject to cold seam/joint at installer’s discretion.
  • Concrete or asphalt base can be over-poured with rubber surface.  A crushed stone base will be subject to freeze-thaw movements and must be evenly and firmly compacted, and with adequate drainage.
  • PlayCare PIP® may be walked upon without damage within 36-48 hours after installation, depending on temperature and humidity.  Walking upon or using a surface before the full cure will void warranty.
  • PlayCare is not responsible for the selection of the thickness or type of surface for any application. The purchaser is solely responsible for determining the suitability of products for all applications.
  • PlayCare PIP® is a specific formulation of complex polyurethane cement (PU) that is subject to ultraviolet light (UV) degradation.  After installation, the exposed surface “film” will initially discolor the natural hue of the granules. This “ambering” or yellowing is a natural and temporary phenomenon that will “burn off.”
  • Natural UV exposure to the surface will vary each hour and each day.  It is normal to observe different degrees of ambering based on weather, natural site shading, and time of day.  No surface will match immediately after installation if portions are completed under different UV exposures during curing.
  • PlayCare PIP® remains permeable over time with drainage capacity related to the capability of the sub-base to carry the surface discharge at a rate equal to the flow of water through the PlayCare PIP® system.
